Troop News - February 5, 2012

  1. Mr Smith is the Scoutmaster as of the February 13th Troop Meeting. Mrs Dore has agreed to replace Mr Lipscomb as Treasurer.
  2. Monday, February 13th is Patrol Leaders (Green Bar) Conference (PLC) at 6:00 pm in Our Saviour’s Lutheran Fellowship Hall. All youth leaders should attend this meeting.
  3. Monday, February 13th is Troop Meeting at 7:00 pm in Our Saviour’s Lutheran Fellowship Hall. Agenda: Webelos Open House.
  4. Tuesday, February 14th is Troop Committee meeting at 7:00 pm in Our Saviour’s Lutheran Fellowship Hall. All adult leaders need to attend this meeting.
  5. Mr Knight has agreed to be the 2012 “Relay For Life” chairperson, Adam & Houston are co-captains. We still need someone to head up the fundraising event.
  6. Monday, February 20th is the next Troop Meeting at 7:00 pm in Our Saviour’s Lutheran Fellowship Hall.
  7. Tuesday, February 21st Troop 414 is providing and serving Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church parishioners with a Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner, serving time is 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Scouts are needed to prepare, setup, and serve the meal @ 5:00 pm. This activity counts as community service. See Mr Smith for sign-up.
  8. Thursday, March 1st is District Roundtable at 7:00 pm in United Methodist Church basement.
  9. March 9th – 10th is Pack 414 Pinewood Derby. This is an opportunity for Troop 414 to interact with the Pack. They need 6 Scouts Friday night and 6 Scout Saturday morning to assist. See Mr Osterloh for sign-up.
  10. Monday, March 19th is Court of Honor in Our Saviour’s Lutheran Fellowship Hall. A pot-luck dinner starts at 6:30 pm. Mrs Godwin will coordinate the food for this event. We need someone to coordinate the program.
  11. Saturday, March 24th is District Pinewood Derby. Pack 107 has requested that Troop 414 provide entertainment activities while the Cubs are waiting to race. See Mr Osterloh for sign-up.
  12. July 1st – 7th, 2012 is summer camp at Camp Powhatan of the Blue Ridge Mountain Scout Reservation. They have excellent High Adventure programs.
  13. The Mr Min has agreed to operate the Troop Cloths Closet and solicit donations.
